2nd International Seminar on the Awareness of Fake note and fake document detection and prevention in Bangladesh, is designed to address the challenges of forgery and counterfeiting of bank notes and other valuable documents. Not only Bangladesh but also other countries of the world are suffering from the evils of fake notes and documents. In order to prevent counterfeiting of notes and valuable documents, millions of dollars are being spent to incorporate newer security features in the notes and documents but desired result is yet to be achieved. Experts opine that only incorporation of good number of security features in the notes and documents are not enough to prevent counterfeiting. We feel public awareness is the most important and effective tool to eradicate production and circulation of fake notes as well as fake documents. 


The seminar is aimed at bringing together the key officials of currency issuing departments/offices of the central bank, cash officials of the commercial banks, key officials of the ministry of local govt., ministry of education, passport and visa issuing authority and technologists & experts in the relevant-field and other money  handling and valuable document issuing authorities from home and abroad. It will be a good platform for the participants to share their experiences and to interact with each other. The seminar will also provide them an opportunity to learn the latest technologies, security features and tools & techniques of counterfeiting .We believe that at the end of the day the participants will acquire fairly good knowledge about how to protect the currency and valuable documents from forgery & counterfeiting. Moreover the seminar will develop capabilities among the participants to detect fake notes and fake documents easily with naked eye.
